Kristi and any artist organised and working alongside her, strive to provide a professional service to all of our clients and a part of this, is reading, understanding and agreeing to the following terms and conditions to ensure we are on the same page.

Kristi K Makeup and Hair kindly asks you to read the following User Terms carefully as it is a legal document, whereby booking a service with Kristi K Makeup and Hair and any other artist assisting her, confirms that you understand and agree to be bound by these User Terms.

Kristi K Makeup and Hair is a mobile and home based business, located on Glenvale Avenue, Parklea. Kristi is available, by appointment only, 6 days a week.

Appointments can be booked online during the following hours:

Monday - CLOSED

Tuesday to Thursday - 8am - 3.30pm.

Friday - 8am - 4.30pm.

Saturday - 7am - 4.30pm.

Sunday - 7am - 1pm. (After 1pm by request only)

For appointments outside of these hours, it is by request only and will depend on availability. Bridal bookings can be booked outside of these hours, which will be communicated to you by Kristi. Please note, an additional surcharge may apply for appointments booked prior to 6am and after 6pm.

The following days are an exception:

Christmas Day – CLOSED

Boxing Day - CLOSED

Kristi K Makeup and Hair will inform you via Instagram or Facebook if makeup services are unavailable for any other days or times.

Please Note: Public Holidays may be booked by request only, however a surcharge of 10% per person will incur.

Kristi K Makeup and Hair offer both mobile services and studio services.

Studio services are booked at Kristi's home studio located on Glenvale Avenue in Parklea. Just an FYI, I do have 3 resident scaredy cats, who will be locked out of the room during your appointment, so if you have allergies to cats, please take any medication prior to your appointment. I can also provide you with some if needed. If you are highly allergic and would prefer, I come to you instead, please book a mobile appointment online or just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate this.

Event mobile services can be booked at your home or another location of your choosing. The service price for mobile bookings, includes travel within 25kms of Glenvale Avenue, Parklea 2768. Outside of that area, a travel fee will be charged. When booking a mobile service online, only enough time is allocated for the service and 25kms of travel time. Please do not book online if you are located more than 25kms from Glenvale Avenue, Parklea. Get in touch for a travel fee quote and Kristi will book you in to allow additional travel time.

Bridal mobile services will be booked at the location you will be getting ready at on the day of your wedding. A travel fee may apply depending on the location and will be quoted at the time of enquiry, for each artist required for the day.

Hair and makeup packages are only discounted if Kristi is the solo artist completing all the services. Package prices will increase for both bridal and event services if an additional artist is required to complete everyone.

All makeup services include complimentary lashes, and a sample pot of the lipstick used for touch ups throughout the day.

A travel fee will be charged when travelling more than 25kms in any direction from Glenvale Avenue, Parklea 2768. If an additional artist is required, a travel fee will also be charged for that artist from their home to the location.

As we cannot take additional bookings during the travel time allocated to get to your appointment, travel fees are charged to cover this time spent, as well as the extra cost of petrol, wear and tear on the car, tolls and the time spent packing and unpacking equipment, just to name a few.

Travel fees are charged at $80 per hour for the round trip, there and back from the studio or artist location. Eg; 2 hours of travel each way = 4 hours of travel. The exact fee will be quoted at the time of your enquiry and it will be itemised on your quote.

We take the fastest route to any location which may include toll charges. The cost of any tolls will be added on top of the travel fee.

When we are required to travel more than 2 hours to a location, and/or the start time is earlier than 8am, one nights accommodation may be charged at the expense of the client and will be included in the quote. The cost of accommodation will be based on what is available via booking.com at the time of quoting. Accommodation will be booked at an affordable hotel/motel of our choosing, unless otherwise discussed with the client, and the invoice will be provided upon the clients request. We try to keep room costs below $100-150 per night, and where this is not possible, we will discuss with the client prior to booking.

For any interstate or international travel, all costs are to be paid at the expense of the client. Costs may include, but are not limited to, flights, accommodation, transportation, baggage fees, parking etc. Please contact me directly for a personal quote for this type of travel.

Kristi prefers bridal trials be completed at her home studio in Parklea. If an additional artist is required, any trials may be booked at the other artists location, depending on availability. This will be communicated that time of booking.

Kristi prefers bridal trials be booked on a weekday if possible. While we understand you have events leading up to your wedding that you'd prefer to have the trial done for, unfortunately Saturday and Sunday availability can be very limited and tend to book out quite quickly with bridal parties etc. We will try to accommodate a Saturday preference, but unfortunately it is not always possible for the date and/or time you would prefer.

When requesting a trial date, it is best to have a few dates in mind instead of just one, just in case our availability is limited and we are not available on the date you prefer. This is especially important if Kristi will be organising another artist to work with her for your wedding day. We all have different availability and will need dates that work for everyone.

The months of September, October, November, February, March and April, are considered peak wedding season months and are usually booked 6 - 12 months in advance. Please keep this in mind when booking your trial if you are wanting it during this time. Consider booking your trial appointment at the time of securing your wedding date.

Bookings are subject to availability. A booking fee of 20% will be required for all bridal and wedding day bookings. Booking fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Please consider the numbers carefully before booking with Kristi K Makeup and Hair. The number of services as confirmed on your invoice are final and we do not offer a reduction on invoices once the booking fee/deposit has been paid. EG; if your invoice is quoted for 6 services and 2 services are cancelled, the payment originally invoiced of 6 services will still be required. That service can be replaced with another friend, family member or guest. If you are unsure about someone, please leave them off your enquiry. Additional services can be added if required at a later date.

Your booking fee will be deducted from the overall balance of the invoice. The booking fee/deposit helps with the ongoing costs of running the business and should be seen as a commitment to you and your date, in the case of a larger booking enquiry becoming available.

Booking fees will need to be paid within 14 days of the booking being taken to secure your wedding date. You will receive a personalised quote with all payment details included. Your appointment will be confirmed and secured once the booking fee has been received by bank deposit or PayPal. A receipt will be provided once deposit has been received with the remaining balance that will be due on the day.

If the booking fee has NOT been paid within 14 days, unless instructed otherwise by Kristi K Makeup and Hair, then your booking will be cancelled. An explanation will be made to you at the time of cancellation.

If you choose to reschedule your wedding day and Kristi K Makeup and Hair have availability, your booking fee will be transferred to that day. The booking fee can only be transferred to a new date twice, pending availability. If it needs to be rescheduled for a third time, the original booking fee will be kept as a cancellation fee and a new booking fee will be required to secure the third date. If Kristi K Makeup and Hair is unavailable for the new dates, the booking fee will not be refunded under any circumstance. Please see cancellations for more info.

If Kristi K Makeup and Hair is available for your wedding date, and you would like a trial before paying the booking fee, please organise an appointment asap to avoid disappointment. Unfortunately your date cannot be held without a booking fee.

Bookings are subject to availability. A booking fee of $30 per person and per service will be required for ALL bookings. Eg: If booking an appointment for hair AND makeup a $60 booking fee will be required per person. Booking fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

All last-minute appointments that are made within 48 hours of the requested appointment time, for example, booked today for tomorrow, will be required to pay the full amount in advance. A payment link will be sent to your email or phone, and you will have 3 hours to pay the full amount/remaining balance. If no payment is made, the appointment will be canceled. This policy will limit no shows who book last minute.

For group bookings - Please consider the numbers carefully before booking with Kristi K Makeup and Hair. The number of services as confirmed on your invoice are final and we do not offer a reduction on invoices once the booking fee/deposit has been paid. EG; if your invoice is quoted for 3 services and 1 service is cancelled, the payment originally invoiced of 3 services will still be required. That service may be replaced with another friend or family member. If you are unsure about someone, please leave them off your enquiry. Additional services can be added if required at a later date.

Booking fees will need to be paid at the time of booking or within 48 hours. Your booking will not be confirmed unless a booking fee has been paid. The booking fee will be taken off your total on the day of your appointment. If booking online, a confirmation email will be sent to you immediately. All other bookings will receive an invoice with the payment recorded once it has been received. This will confirm your appointment.

If the booking fee has NOT been paid within 48 hours, unless instructed otherwise by Kristi K Makeup and Hair, then your appointment will be cancelled without any notice.

If you need to reschedule to a different day or time, please do so by logging in to your account online or by contacting Kristi directly. Your booking fee will be transferred to the new booking twice only. If you need to reschedule again, a new deposit will be required and your original kept as a cancellation fee. Please try to reschedule earlier than 48 hours BEFORE your appointment as a new booking fee will be charged if rescheduled within 48 hours.

Please consider the numbers carefully before booking with Kristi K Makeup and Hair. The number of services as confirmed on your invoice are final and we do not offer a reduction on invoices once the booking fee/deposit has been paid. EG; if your invoice is quoted for 6 services and 2 services are cancelled, the payment originally invoiced of 6 services will still be required. The service can be replaced with another friend, family member or guest. If you are unsure about someone, please leave them off your enquiry. Additional services can be added if required at a later date.

Please allow at least 48 hours notice if cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. All booking fees are non-refundable and will be kept as a cancellation fee. This will cover any time spent on administration and loss of other bookings caused by allocating your appointment. Rescheduling an appointment within 48 hours of your appointment time will incur a new booking fee and your original booking fee will be kept as a cancellation fee. If rescheduling prior to 48 hours, your booking fee can be transferred to the new date, twice only and depending on availability. If you need to reschedule more than twice, unfortunately a new booking fee will be required and your original will be kept as a cancellation fee.

In the extremely unlikely event that Kristi is unable to fulfil your booking due to circumstances beyond her control (severe illness, personal emergency etc), Kristi will try to find another highly recommended, reputable and competent artist for your appointment. They will receive a brief (if applicable) and any other information needed. Your booking fee will be transferred to the artist. If Kristi is unable to find a suitable replacement, your booking fee will be fully refunded or a credit note will be issued for the amount, to be used within 12 months from the date of issue.

In the event of a pandemic, natural disaster or something similar, and your event or wedding is postponed due to government restrictions, Kristi will provide you with dates she is NOT available and do her best to make herself available for your new date. Your booking fee will be transferred to the new date, twice only. If your event needs to be rescheduled for a third time, a new booking fee will required to secure the 3rd date and your original booking fee will be kept as a cancellation fee. If you have chosen to cancel your wedding due to government restrictions or have chosen a date that Kristi is unavailable and can not accommodate your booking at all, unfortunately no refunds will be given as booking fees/deposits are non-refundable.

Kristi K Makeup and Hair accepts cash (preferred), MasterCard, Visa, PayPal and Bank Transfer (osko and pay ID). Eftpos facilities are available and will incur a 1.1% surcharge per transaction.

Online Booking Payments

Booking fee payments can be made online via credit card (visa, mastercard, amex) or PayPal. If you would prefer to do a bank deposit, please select 'Cash Payment' at time of booking and contact Kristi K Makeup and Hair immediately.

You will receive an email confirming your appointment has been booked. An email will also be sent to Kristi, notifying her of your appointment along with a payment receipt.

The remaining balance will need to be paid on the day of your appointment. This can be paid using the correct cash (preferred), eftpos (+1.1% surcharge) or bank transfer via OSKO or pay ID. All payments must be paid BEFORE you leave your appointment.

Bridal Booking Payments

Booking fee payments can be made via PayPal or bank deposit. Payment details will be listed on your quote or invoice. Please include your name and date in the description (eg: Kristi150520). A screenshot of the transfer will need to be sent to Kristi, either by text 0405283795 or email hello@kristikmakeup.com.

The remaining balance will need to be paid with the correct cash on the day, or up to 5 days prior to your wedding, if paying via bank deposit. The person who made the booking will be responsible for payments, so please ensure you have collected everyone's payments BEFORE your appointment time. Kristi will not accept the full payment outside of the above time frame under any circumstances.

All Other Booking Payments

An invoice will be issued with the amount of your service and the booking fee amount will be communicated to you by Kristi. The payment details will be listed on the invoice and can be made via PayPal or bank deposit. Please include your name and date in the description (eg: Kristi150520). A screenshot of the transfer will need to be sent to Kristi, either by text 0405283795 or email hello@kristikmakeup.com.

The remaining balance will need to be paid on the day of your appointment. This can be paid using the correct cash (preferred) or eftpos (+1.1% surcharge) or bank transfer via OSKO or PayID. This must be paid BEFORE you leave your appointment.

As Kristi is a solo artist, an additional artist may be arranged to help complete everyone when there is a shorter time frame to work with, or for large group bookings when both hair and makeup has been booked. Kristi will advise at the time of booking whether an additional artist will be required and will be worked into your quote as needed.

Usually, Kristi will do the makeup and arrange for another artist to do the hair. The additional artist will be sourced prior to any trials, so you can be comfortable that the same person will be present on the day.

When an additional artist is requested by the client for whatever reason, a minimum of 3 services is required for each artist. Eg; 2 artists = 6 services (3x hair AND makeup or 6 makeup or 6 hair).

A service fee of $100, may apply if an additional artist is required. This covers the additional time spent organising an artist, briefing them on all the details of your event, organising trials, working out effective timelines and any additional correspondence required before the day. Any other fees such as travel, parking etc will also be charged for each artist for the day.

Kristi has a great network of both hair and makeup artists that are at the same skill level as herself. Some of which are Kye Francis MUA, Makeup by Ceridwen, Hair by Kelly Powell, and Hair by Telz.

Please keep in mind that these artists do work for themselves, so their prices may vary to the individual service and package pricing of Kristi K Makeup and Hair. GST may also be added to quotes/invoices as per their business requirements.

Hair and makeup packages are only discounted if Kristi is the solo artist completing all the services. Package prices will increase for both bridal and event services if an additional artist is required to complete everyone. All prices will be quoted ahead of booking.

Kristi K Makeup and Hair has the right to change any price, at any time without any notice. An exception will apply if a client has secured an appointment and/or paid any booking fee prior to the price change. When booking any service with Kristi K Makeup and Hair, the client agrees to these prices.

Kristi does not offer refunds for any booking fees/deposits or completed services. Therefore if you are in any way dissatisfied, the onus is on the client to discuss with Kristi while she is on location. All discussions regarding refunds/discounts will be entered into on a case-by-case basis.

In the event that any hotel/motel and metered parking fees are incurred based on the location of the booking, the client will be required to cover the charges. As Kristi carries a lot of equipment and works on an appointment schedule, parking will need to be provided as close as possible to the location. If onsite parking is not available you must notify Kristi immediately so other arrangements can be made.

Valet parking will be used if it is the only parking at the hotel and will be charged to the clients room. If parking cannot be charged to the room or the client cannot pay it at the time of the appointment, a copy of the receipt and an invoice with the amount will be sent to the client to be paid within 7 days.

Please be aware that parking delays caused by the client may result in Kristi not being able to start the service on time, finish the total services booked or get to the service at all. Kristi recommends that onsite parking be provided to avoid disappointment.

An early morning fee of $50 per hour and per artist may apply for any appointments prior to 6am. An after hours fee may apply for any appointment after 6pm. This will be quoted on a case by case basis, at the time of your enquiry.

Allergies

Kristi or any other artist working with her, are not, under any circumstances, responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. The onus is on the client to notify Kristi, prior to the appointment, if you have sensitive skin or have any known allergies. You are more than welcome to bring your own product that you are familiar with and Kristi will be happy to apply that for you instead. Kristi cannot make guarantees surrounding the quality of the product(s) you supply for her to use.

Skin and Hair Preparation

Please ensure that for all makeup services your skin has been cleansed, moisturised and is free of any makeup products. If you wear sunscreen, please apply prior to your appointment.

For all hair services we recommend washing your hair the day before your appointment. Do not wash your hair the day of your appointment unless Kristi has communicated otherwise. Please ensure it is dry and any frizz or curls have been smoothed out to the best of your ability prior to the service (unless otherwise discussed). When washing your hair, Kristi suggests for you to do a double shampoo and only lightly condition the mid lengths to ends ensuring this is thoroughly washed out. Kristi also recommends avoiding the use of any hot tools (blow dryer is ok) and products prior to the commencement of your hair service.

To assist with future hairstyles and makeup looks and for promotional proposes, Kristi may take photos prior, during and upon completion of any styles and looks she creates. These photos may be used for public display (website, social media, business cards, etc). If you are uncomfortable with this and wish for your images not to be used, please advise Kristi ahead of time, otherwise it is presumed that you agree for her to use your images as she sees fit.
